Vlex, Becker Brakel

Vlex is a task chair concept using formfleece and a bodyweight mechanism. Its seat and backrest are molded in a 3-dimensional shape, except for the planar lumbar support, thereby creating flexibility to allow the tilting movement while maintaining structural integrity.

Vlex has been created in collaboration with Becker Brakel, the leading manufacturer of molded wood and formfleece. Every two years, the Becker Design-Forum offers designers the possibility to present their ideas at the Interzum fair in Cologne.

We want to thank Becker Brakel and their team for the great collaboration and the commitment and dedication to the project.

Another special thank you goes to Donati Spa to provide the mechanism and components and support us with their advice and expertise.
